heats up solder tip in several seconds. easy to use. comes with heat deflector for use with heat shrink - and who doesnt want a solder iron that doubles as a mini blow torch. this is a great tool which I've had for a couple months now. works as advertised and is flawless thus far.
It has worked flawlessly. I purchased this tool a while ago and I have used it many times.
I needed to solder many conections, unsolder them and resolder them as I was triming antenna to resonant length. The hot torch tip is useful to unsolder large-wire connections, the type that seems to suck up all the heat of a normal soldering iron.
There is a wire fashioned tool holder that I haven't quite figured out how it is supposed to hold something. The iron heats up almost instantly, I have never had a failed start when I click the start button.
Wow I am impressed. I am showing it to everyone who comes in the house.
This is a real tool for real jobs. I spent the last three days on the roof of my house putting up ham radio antenna systems.
This tool is really good.
